Let your imagination take centre stage in Ready, Set, Plot Twist! Young creators will dream up memorable characters, explore storytelling and turn their ideas into their very own scenes — before bringing them to life through drama and performance.
Perfect for budding writers, storytellers and performers in Year 3+.
What will we do?
This isn't an afternoon spent sitting at a desk writing!
Through a mix of creative writing, drama, improvisation and performance activities, participants will explore how characters and stories come together. They'll have the chance to:
- Create their own interesting and memorable characters
- Explore what makes a story work
- Develop ideas through drama and improvisation
- Turn their ideas into short scripts and scenes
- Rehearse their creations
- Bring their work to life through performance

Whether your child loves writing stories, making up characters, performing on stage — or simply has a big imagination — Ready, Set, Plot Twist! gives them the chance to create something that's truly their own.
🎭 Wagga Wagga Workshop
Date: Tuesday 6th October 2026
Time: 2:30pm–5:00pm
Venue: Speaking Out Studio
Cost: $50 per participant
Age: Year 3+
Places: Maximum 15 participants
Participants should bring:
- A drink bottle
- A small snack
- Comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for drama activities
- Plenty of imagination!
Writing materials and workshop resources will be provided.
