What really goes into putting a play on stage?
In this hands-on school holiday drama workshop, students will step behind the curtain and discover how a story transforms from words on a page into a live performance.

From Page to Stage is a creative, energetic workshop where young performers become actors, directors and theatre-makers, exploring every part of the process — not just acting, but how all the pieces come together to make a show.

What students will explore

Across the workshop, students will:

• 📖 Work with scripts – breaking down scenes, characters and story

• 🎭 Develop performance skills – voice, movement, expression and confidence

• 🚶 Learn blocking & staging – where performers move and why it matters

• 🎨 Create the world of the play – thinking about background, setting and atmosphere

• 🎵 Explore sound & music – how music and effects shape mood and storytelling

• 🤝 Collaborate as a cast – sharing ideas, problem-solving and creating together

The focus is on creativity, confidence and teamwork, with age-appropriate challenges and extension for older students.
